On February 26, 2026, we held another meeting with Istituto Nazionale di Statistica (ISTAT), which is a partner of ASOC, the project our team is carrying forward.
The meeting began with the introduction of the ISTAT members present: Ms. Rosa, Mr. Salvatore, and Ms. Carucci. It continued with a general presentation by each member of our team and with a report by our project manager outlining all the data we have collected from the hospital up to this point.
Subsequently, with the valuable support of the ISTAT members, we organized the data received from the hospital into a historical series and created an appropriate chart in order to observe the annual increase in surgeries performed using robotic surgery. We also reviewed the specific data related to the “robotic surgical system” project available on OpenCoesione’s site.
The meeting continued with a presentation by ISTAT’s representatives, who shared an explanatory PowerPoint containing essential information for our project, such as the percentage of robots used in the surgical field in each region of Italy.
The meeting was essential and allowed us to access very important information. It concluded with final advice and words of thanks.
