On 21 February 2026, our Team Robonova visited Ospedale San Carlo in Potenza with Professor Grenci, the team tutor, Professor Sabina, Mr. Demeo, a member of the “Amici di ASOC” association, and Mr. Imbesi, one of our partners.

In the morning, after taking a team photo, we went to the hospital’s operating theatre, where surgical procedures are performed using the Davinci Surgical System. After wearing gowns and surgical caps, we were guided by surgeons Dr. Falabella and Dr. Di Marino, who gave us a brief presentation on how the surgical equipment works.

Afterwards, we entered the room where the robotic system was located. Some of our team members had the opportunity to operate the Da Vinci system, performing preliminary exercises under the guidance of a laboratory doctor.
The surgeons then showed us the different surgical instruments that can be connected to the robot, highlighting their minimally invasive nature compared to the human hand.
Later, our interviewers, Noemi Gorga and Sante Carbonara, asked several questions to the surgeons and to the Director of the hospital, Dr. Giuseppe Spera.
The meeting concluded with a group photo and our team expressing sincere thanks to the surgeons for their time and hospitality.
